Super Fat in CP Soap

By creating this post, I'm simply passing along information that I have found helpful.  When I was a beginner, I was always wanting to learn as much as I could and found the internet full of helpful resources.  But, it wasn't always easy wading through site after site after forum after social media site trying to find the answers to all my questions!

All this to say, if you are on the lookout for a good explanation of what it means to superfat your soap, here is a link that I feel does a good job of it!!

Soap Trials - Soap Triumph!

New recipe alert! Feels like velvet, I'm in love!! So this is a 1/2 pound sampler and it's scented with Amazing-ly Grace. I looove this perfume and I have loved this in m&p soap. This was my first time in CP and it's very lovely to work... with. Slight acceleration, but not as bad as when working with florals. (for soapers, that should paint a picture) :) This one has a very high hardness value so I was able to un-mold and cut within 12 hours! Did I say I'm in love with this soap? These will be sold as sample size and/or given as samples with purchase from regular soap line.

Spring Is In The Air Soap

Made a small batch of rose scented soap tonight just for fun. Testing a new recipe with beeswax. I soaped it at about 115 degrees, as wax starting to solidify. Anyone have suggestions on what temp. is best when using beeswax? It piped perfect for me! Added a few spring elements like the little soap rabbits and butterflies and then the purple paper roses. Great stats on this soap according to soap calc, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
